Moregasm: Babeland’s Guide to Mind-Blowing Sex (Review)

January 21, 2010 2 comments

I was given the wonderful opportunity to review the newest book from the Babeland founder’s Claire Cavanah and Rachel Venning, “Moregasm : Babeland’s Guide to Mind-Blowing Sex

Moregasm” covers all aspects of sex, educating you on more than just the average sex education book. It covers everything from masturbation, bondage, anal sex, and everything else in between. Even if you thought you knew enough about sex, EVERYONE should read this book. It is full of tips and tricks, as well as answers to lots of common issues and questions.

I was really pleased to see such a diverse selection of images and illustrations. “Moregasm”goes over more than just traditional heterosexual sex, it includes advice for people and couples of all orientations.

Reading “Moregasm” has me interested in trying a few new things that I was intimated by before. I really have learned some new things, and feel more knowledgeable about certain aspects of sex that I only thought I was an expert in.

Moregasm” is a book that everyone should have on their bookshelf, or coffee table. I very highly recommend it, and I just cannot say enough good things about it.

Lelo Ella Review

January 19, 2010 Leave a comment

I won an affiliate contest from Babeland awhile back, and I am finally able to post my opinion and review of it.

The Ella dildo is the first Lelo product that I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing.

Like all of the other Lelo products, Ella is very sleek and extremely well made. She is made of pure silicone which is seamless and very smooth. My Ella arrived in an elegant black box, and a satin draw string bag to store her in.

The Ella is a double ended dildo, one end features a G-Spot “nook”. While using this end, it easily hit just the right spot. I was really surprised that it took very little effort to get me going. The G-spot nook definitely hit where it was designed to. The contour of the dildo was perfect for me, I was able to use it without being in an uncomfortable position. The nook end also works well for some non vibrating clit stimulation.

The other more “traditional” end isn’t quite traditional. It has more of a slightly pointed end, rather than a bulbous head that you see in many other dildos. The point of this end is wonderful for stimulating specific areas such as your perineum.

The Ella cleans up easily with some soap and water, but she may also be cleaned in the dishwasher (no soap), boiled, or with a 10% bleach solution.

Ella’s largest diameter is 1 ¼ inches and is 7 inches long with 5 inches invertible. You can use water based lubricant with her.

I really really enjoy my Ella, and she will always have a place on my nightstand.

  • Liberator Axis Hitachi by Carnivalesq
  • Epiphora commented that “the Hitachi takes up like entire vulva,” and therefore wanted to know “if I have to like buttsex to have it work for partner play.” I argue that the Hitachi does not take up the whole vulva, but recognize that I may, in fact, be super human.

Note: Carnivalesq’s Illustrated Axis Hitachi Positioning Guide is just awesome and you should read it. ‘Nuff said.

Pink Basic Essentials Bunny Enhancer Review

January 7, 2010 7 comments

Basic Essentials Bunny Enhancer Cock Ring by Cal Exotics

This is a basic “rabbit style” cock ring. I was very interested to try it out. I commonly use a vibe during sex, but a cock ring that vibrates sounds like an awesome idea.

To use this, he attempted to put it over his cock and balls, but fit more comfortably with it on his cock only. Once it was on and secure at the base of his cock, he turned it on. I immediately touched him and I could feel the vibrations all through his shaft.

Material / Texture

The Basic Essentials Bunny Enhancer has a jelly like texture, and it is made of TPR. It is really stretchy, I could easily fit this over a soda can. The cock ring has several holes in various places where you can put the bullet vibrator.

It had a slight plastic smell, but like many toys that disappeared after washing it

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

I had high hopes for this ring, but the rabbit just did not hit my clit properly. I had to hold it in place, and that kind of defeats the purpose.
However the ring did fit my lover well, and couldn’t of been simpler to put on or take off. This ring is stretchy enough to not require any lubricant.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Basic Essentials Bunny Enhancer Cock Ring comes with a tiny bullet vibe. It took me a minute to find the on switch, it is a tiny sliding switch on the side. I would of preferred a button, it is rather difficult to slide the switch over to power it on.
The vibrator only has one speed, and it is a high pitched vibration.

Packaging

The The Basic Essentials Bunny Enhancer is packaged in a basic plastic clam shell. Batteries were included along with spare set.

Pros

easy to put on and take off, decent vibrations, I like that it came with extra batteries

Cons

the vibe switch was hard to turn on, it didn’t hit my clit just right

Summary

This ring might work for others, as I have a hard time finding toys that hit my clit just right. The vibrations were decent for such a small vibrator. The material is really stretchy and will accommodate men of any size.

My First Cock Ring

January 4, 2010 12 comments

This was the first cock ring that we’ve used. It seemed simple enough to not be intimidating.
We experimented with using it just around his shaft, and then around his balls and shaft. We learned that the around both his shaft and balls gave better results. The ring made him harder, and made his erection last longer.
I had to stop the fun, because I got a cramp in my leg, and usually he softens some whenever that happens, but not thing time. He was still as hard as he was when we started.

Material / Texture

The ring had a slight plastic smell upon opening the package. But after washing it before it’s initial use, the smell was gone.
The TitanMen Stretch-to-Fit Cock ring appears small, but it is super stretchy and smooth. It has a slight rubbery texture.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

This ring’s design is super simple, it is a nice basic cock ring. Lubricant makes this ring so much easier to put on and to take off. My lover said it was a little strange feeling to wear it at first, but it was comfortable after he was used to the feeling of the pressure.
Because of its super stretchy material, it will fit many differently sized men.

Cleaning

The TPR material that the TitanMen Stretch-to-Fit Cock ring is made of, cannot be sterilized. But you can clean it easily with some antibacterial soap and water.

Pros The rings simplicity, its super stretchiness

ConsPerhaps adding some simple instructions for the ones that are new to cock rings

Summary
I am really happy with the TitanMen Stretch-to-Fit Cock ring, it is really simple to use for a beginner or a novice. The material has the perfect elasticity to fit men of all sizes.

Bend Over Beginners Kit Review

December 9, 2009 14 comments

I won a Babeland affiliate’s contest and was able to review a Bend Over Beginner kit from Tantus. It has the benefit of being an all-inclusive package with harness, two dildos, a vibrating bullet (batteries included), and two changeable o-rings.  One of the first things I noticed when I opened the kit up was how high quality all the materials were.

I only have a little experience with a strap-on, and this one is so much more comfortable than any other that I have worn. The nylon straps do not dig into your skin and it stays in place. Unlike other strap-ons, this one goes around your legs instead of “thong” style. The harness fits up to a 60-inch waist, so even us curvy girls can have some fun.

The included dildos are 100% pure silicone and can be sterilized. They can be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution, boiled, or even thrown in the dishwasher. They feel very durable and I am sure that I will enjoy them for a long time. The kit includes a smaller dildo, that is a little larger than an average finger at 4 ½ inches long and 7/8 inches in diameter. The larger dildo of the two is 5 ½ inches long and 1 ¼ inches in diameter.  My only issue with the dildos is that they are a lint magnet, so you may want to keep them packed away until right before you are ready to use them.

The Bend Over Beginner kit comes with two O rings, a smaller one that fits the included dildos and a larger one so you can use the harness with larger toys. The larger ring fit all of the toys that are designed to be used with another  strap-on that I own.

In the harness, there is a little pocket for the bullet vibrator, so you can receive some pleasurable sensations while wearing the harness. The bullet has a simple button to turn it on and off and it can be accessed through the fabric of the harness. The vibe is reasonably strong on its own, but being inside the pocket, really tones down the powerfulness of it.  Nonetheless, it is still a nice tease.

The Bend Over Beginner kit is packaged in a simple plastic box, but is sturdy enough for long term storage.

I really love this kit and I am happy that I was able to test it out and review it. If you are in the market for a strap on, you can’t go wrong with the  Bend Over Beginner kit.

  • Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Ashley
  • At the core of the book is this: it is very, very difficult to study human beings sexually in a scientific setting. Science and sex are both delicate things and no normal human being is going to act the way they normally do while doing the down and dirty if they’re being watched, probed, evaluated, hooked to machines, and so on.

Note: Some EP’s are picked because of the review itself and some are picked because the product made me go “Oooooh, want!” This one is definitely the latter. That’s not to say the review isn’t good too, it’s just overshadowed by my desire to read this and everything else by Mary Roach. Will you have the same reaction?
